 14TH ANNUAL REPORT

 

Good evening and warm welcome to all present in this colourful and charming evening. At the outset, I pay my deep reverence and heartfelt gratitude to the founder of this institution “His Holiness SWAMI SUDDHANANDAJI”. Amidst the names of tens of thousands of living saints whose inspiration and guidance, ambience and love for humanity, their graciousness and serenity, sympathetic attitude and path finding nature , their simplicity and plain living, high sense of morale, the name of PARAMA PUJYA HIS HOLINESS SWAMI SUDDHANANDAJI shines and shines almost alone a star in the spiritual galaxy of the globe. I pray for your blessings, Swamiji.

 

It would be a folly on my part to introduce to you all the chair person of the occasion, revered SWAMI ATMANAND SARASWATI, the Chairman of Suddhananda Vidyalayas under Samvit Sagar Trust, ODISHA, who is not only a guide but also a philosopher and perennial source of inspiration to all my colleagues and the locality. I pay my deep reverence to you Swamiji and beseech your showers of blessing.

I also have the privilege to introduce to you all, Brahmacharini Manisha Chaitanyaji, the Secretary & Manager of this Vidyalaya, Who is constantly striving hard for the progress and development of this Vidyalaya in all the fields. Her constant inspiration, motivation, hard work, sincerity and dignity of labour have motivated all the Staff and Students of this Vidyalaya to march on in the path of progress. I express my deep gratitude to you and desire your constant guidance for the smooth running of the Vidyalaya.

Education ,Odisha , Cuttack,Who is very well known personality in every nook & corner of Odisha , not only as a veteran Educationist and reformer in the field of examination system but also a very well known personality in the field of Educational administration and innovation. I have the pleasure and privilege to introduce to you all Prof. Shri Radha Mohan , the Chief Speaker of the evening. He is a very well known and popular name in the field of Higher Education in Odisha. He served as Professor in Economic in different colleges not only in Odisha but also out side. He has also served Government of India in department of Youth Affairs . He is better known as an eminent environmentalist. He has also wide reputation in the field of social service and right to information . To his credit he has also served as the commissioner of Information commission. Let me avail the opportunity to welcome you, sir and express my gratitude for coming over here and inspire us to march on in the path of success and the goal set before us.

 

I have the immense pleasure to introduce to you all Dr.Chita Ranjan Mishra Director Chita Ranjan Seva Sadan , Niali , the Guest Of Honour this colourful evening.He is a reputed physican ,social activist , a veteran sports man ,producer , actor and a very popular and well known face on T.V. serials and ollywood silver screen .He is associated with this Vidyalaya

right from its inception by providing medical attention and check up of the students.

He is timely valuable suggestion and guidance have enriched this organization in the path of progress and prosperity.Let me avail the opportunity to welcome you, sir and express my gratitude for coming over here and inspire us to march on in the path of success and the goal set before us.

 

I express my deep gratitude to Mrs. Vijaya Murty, the Director of Suddhananda Vidyalayas in Odisha and Tamilnadu, Mr. Murthy, the Trustee Administrator, the other trustees present, the honourable members of the Vidyalaya managing committee, respected parents and guardians, the dignitaries present, press reporters, the well wishers of this organization, the dignified audience and all the staff members and students of this organization. I welcome you all for your august presence on the 14th Annual Day Celebration for the year 2015 – 16.

 

On this auspicious occasion we would like to look back and recall our achievements, accomplishments and our untiring efforts in educating and molding the youngsters as responsible future citizen of Mother India. The special Academic Institution, Suddhananda Vidyalaya functioning under Samvit Sagar Trust located amongst the greeneries of Nachhipur in the District of Cuttack was established by His Holiness Pujya Swami Suddhanandaji , popularly known as Bada Swamiji, in the year 2002 with the strength of 9 students on roll. Our institution has been steadily expanding over the years and the present strength has gone beyond 400 having classes from LKG to STD – X. The school has already got the N.O.C. from the Government of Odisha up to Std.-X, and is affiliated to C.B.S.E. New Delhi up to class X. A team of 23 well qualified teachers under the able guidance of the principal, Shri. Debendra Sarangi, M.A. M.Ed have dedicated themselves for the betterment of the Vidyalaya. There are 14 non-teaching staff including office assistant, drivers, helpers, peons and ayas for the smooth running of the Vidyalaya. Very shortly a high level inspection committee formed by CBSE, New Delhi is to visit this Vidyalaya to see the feasibility of this Vidyalaya for up gradation to senior secondary level may I take the opportunity to request to all to pray almighty in one tune for achieving the aim.

Within a short span of time the infrastructure for a full fledged Secondary school is made. The School is also providing Hostel facilities for some students. The performances of hostel students are highly appreciated by the guardians and the locality. Brni. Manisha Chaitanyaji, & the residential teachers are looking after them with utmost care by providing excellent coaching and valuable guidance. For the inner development of the teachers, Swamiji is taking self knowledge classes once in a week. For the moral and spiritual development of the students, Brni. Manisha Chaitanyaji, the Manager cum Secretary of this Vidyalaya, takes SYM and chanting classes for the children and take care of the accounts of the Vidyalaya. Swamini. Mahima Nandaji regularly visits our school for providing us value-based education.

It is for the information of all present here that the first batch of students of STD -X appeared at the A.I.S.S. E. Under CBSE in the session 2010-11 with excellent result having CGPA 10 and 9. In the session 2011-12 our students have also excelled in class X examination and came out with colorful success, with average CGPA 8.76. In the session 2012 – 13, 25 students have appeared STD –X Exam under CBSE with the Average Result 9.27 CGPA, out of whom five students, Payal Priyadarsini , Ankit Dash, Biswajit Mohanty , Milin Bal & Sourav Dash have secured CGPA 10.In the session 2013-14, 30 students appeared at the A.I.S.S. Examination out of whom seven students Aliva Anwesha Sasmal, Smita Sagarika Dash , Soumya swayam Snigdha Swain ,Subhashree Patra , Sushree Priyadarshini Panda, Swaha Sibani Swain and Kaibalya Kumar Sahoo have secured CGPA 10 with school average 9.44. In the last session 2014-15 30 students have passed with 100% result have being CGPA 9.33. 7 students Brajesh Ranjan Acharya , Mrutunjaya Panda , Mukesh Ranjan Pradhan, Omkar Mohanty, Subhadeep Acharya, Prapa Parida and Sweeta Mohapatra have secured CGPA 10.This year we also expect very bright result.

 

The motto of our school is “SAA VIDYA YAA VIMUKTAYA” meaning ‘The education is that which liberates’. The staff have shouldered all the responsibilities to guide and escort the students by exercising their utmost care in congenial atmosphere for their all round development converting the weakness into their strength. The present educational system believes in the multidimensional development of students’ personality and promotes to bring out inward talents of the young kids. Competitions are organized through out whole year to bring out literary , art, painting and other hidden talents within each and every child . Students of this Vidyalaya have also participated in Intenational Assessment of Indian Schools by Educatonal assessment Australia in the field of Science , Mathematics and English.

Our institution has been conducting classes on sculpting young minds, Yoga, computer science, chanting and practical classes in Mathematics Laboratory, Science Laboratory and computer laboratory by the competent staff. Last year we have also introduced classical and Odishi dance in co –curricular activities under the able guidance of Miss Jyoti Rekha Ojha.

To create a feeling of National Unity, uniformity and integrity, our school is observing all the festivals such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Sastri Jayanti, Netaji Jayanti, Teachers’ Day, Childrens’ Day, Guru Purnima, Ganesh Chaturthy ,Basant Panchami , Id -Ul Fittre, Maharam and X-Mas day.

 

 

Modern age is the age of science and technology. In order to develop scientific attitude of the students, this year also our institution has organized the Annual Project Day in which different Science, Art and Craft Projects were displayed. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Satya Narayan Sahoo H.O.D Zoology.Niali College, and Mr. Manoranjan Mohanty, Lecturer Dept. of Physics Brahman Jharilo Mahavidyalaya graced the occasion with due address to the audience. The guests of the day highly appreciated the projects. A very excellent chanting Shanti Mantra, taught by Brni. Manisha Chaitanyaji was chanted by the students.

Regular in service training is conducted to equip the staff and students with the pace of advancement of science and teaching methodology. Mrs. Vijaya Murthy the Director also takes keen interest in the professional development of the staff. Four workshops were organized in this Vidyalaya for the professional growth and development of the teachers. Teachers of our neighboring schools have also attended the programme. . Dr. Padmaji , a renowned psychologist and international Yoga master , visits the school to equip the staff and students for better exercise of brain power .

 

The school has given equal importance to Physical Education. The 14th Annual Sports was held with great spirit and enthusiasm on 25th, 26th & 27th of December, 2015 with the active co-operation of students, staff, management, parents and guardians in the school premises. It was inaugurated by Mr. Anil Biswal a reputed social activist and member of Odisha cricket association. It was conducted by our PET Mr. Pradeepta Kumar Biswal along with the active co-operation of all the staff. The valedictory function was felicitated by Swami Atmananda Saraswati. The Vidyalaya has developed a beautiful garden of Medicinal and rare plants under ECO CLUB.

FOOD FIESTA

For developing a respect for traditional Odia culture and food habit, the Vidyalaya arranges FOOD FIESTA of different varieties of cakes (pitha) and other cuisines of age old Odia traditional rural food habit, which is highly appreciated by the parents and visitors.

 

On 8th January 2016 a field trip was arranged to Sate Museum , Rajarani Temple and Science Park for students of LKG to STD-IV and on 30th January 2016 another trip was arranged to Kapilash , for the students from Std-V to Std-X.

 

 

Our students under the guidance of Miss Archita Das and Snehamayee Das has participated in National Children festival held in KIIT International school Bhubaneswar on Dt:14/11/2015 and 15/11/2015. Our Children have also attended TATA Steel Quiz and essay competition held in Pathani Samant Planetorium Bhubaneswar under the guidance of Mr.Prasant Kumar Sahoo .Our students have also participated in drawing and painting competition organized by Oil and Natural Gas Commission. Master Pragyansh Behera Std- VII was honoured by the commission with certificate and cash award .Every year our students attend various competitions under sahodaya schools complex Bhubaneswar.

To develop Competitive spirit among the children and better interaction with the students of the Vidyalayas of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, we have planed to conduct Nachhiketa camp in the premises of the Vidyalaya. Our students have participated in Essay Competition under TATA Steel building India 2015-16 and Six students have been awarded shield and certificates. We have also a scout and guides wing under the trained scout master Mr. Pradipta Kumar Biswal. Our scout cadets have attended the First Tribal Jamboree camp from dt: 09/12/2015 to dt: 13/12/2015 in Barunei , Khurda

 

For better class room interaction and to attract the students mind & soul to teaching learning process three digital interactive smart class rooms are in use. We have also introduced Scouts and Guides in our Vidyalaya under the guidance of Mr. Pradeepta Kumar Biswal, who is also a trained Scouts Master with 32 Scouts and 18 Guides. Under his able guidance. All the scouts and guide cadets have passed all the examination to sopan- III. 11 scouts and 06 guide cadets have appeared at the Rajya Purskar Test on 05/11/2015 to 08/11/2015. We hope they would all come out successful and bring glory to the vidyalaya.

Our Vidyalaya is also in the waiting list for NCC affiliation under 6th Odisha BN. NCC, Puri.

We have also developed one Doll Room with music system especially for the L.K.G & U.K.G kids.

 

There is a provision of conducting Medical Camp for the school children every year. This year also we conducted a Health Check up Camp for the school children.

 

Parents – Teachers Interaction are conducted for each class separately and regularly at the end of each Examination every month . We thank the parents for attending the meeting and providing better co-operation, suggestion for the smooth functioning of the Vidyalaya.

 

We can never forget the Trustees of Samvit Sagar Trust for their contribution. Sri Ashutosh Mishra(Retired I.P.S. , ADG) , Sri Bijayram Dash ( Ex Chief soil conservation Dept., Govt. of Odisha), Sri Nishikant Mohanty( Retired High school teacher), Sri Priyabrata Mohanty joint General Manager of the Daily “ The Samaj”, and the Trustees of Samvit Sagar Trust provide timely guidance for the functioning of the school. Our words fail to express our gratitude to Swami Suddhanandaji, the Founder of the Trust as well as the schools, not only in Odisha but also in India and abroad. Swamiji works tirelessly for the betterment of the human society.

With utter grief and sorrow I express before you all that one of the member of our family Isad Khan has left us for his heavenly abode which is a great loss to his family, to the locality and to the Vidyalaya. He had an amicable personality who used to stand by all in weal and owes. Let his soul rest in peace.Let us all present here pray All Mighty for the departed soul.

Visit of Dignitaries and Educationists from abroad to this Vidyalaya

I take the opportunity to inform you that in this educational session reputed educationists from abroad have visited this Vidyalaya and addressed the staff and children. They have provided able guidance and suggestions for the smooth progress of curricular activities and all-round development of children.

All our achievements towards the realizations of our objectives is due to the whole hearted co-operation of all teaching and non-teaching staff of the Vidyalaya, all the Brahmacharies & Brahmacharinies and our parents and students. We are happy to say that the parents of our school not only send their children but also have become an integral part of our institution. We thank Mrs. Vijaya Murthy, Trustee, Akshara Educational Trust, and Director of Suddhananda Vidyalayas, who pays regular visit to our school to guide the teachers as well as the students.

We also thank Mr. S.R.K. Murthy, Trustee, Samvit Sagar Trust, Chief Administrator, Uthandi, who is taking care of the accounts of all the branches. Right through the day of inception the support and guidance from the Chairman and Manager for the all round development of the Vidyalaya is Stupendous.

We seek God’s grace and Swamiji’s blessing to develop this institution in all respects. I take this moment to thank esteemed Swamiji, revered Chairman and the Manager of the Vidyalaya, the Chief Guest of the evening, the chief speaker ,the guest of Honour, the other dignitaries, parents, all well wishers of the Vidyalaya, the staff members of Suddhananda Vidyalaya Jagatsinghpur , the Press and media persons , all the staff members and students of this Vidyalaya who have toiled hard to make this Function a grand success, who have responded to our invitation, in making this occasion a success and memorable.
